John E. Slaughter, Jr.

Mr. Slaughter received a B.A. from the University of Florida in 1964 and a J.D. with honors from Florida State University in 1970. He was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and Phi Delta Phi. He served as a Law Clerk for Judge George Young of the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, from 1970 to 1972. Mr. Slaughter is currently a member of the Clearwater and American Bar Associations and the Florida Bar. In addition, he has been a member of the Executive Council, Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar Board since 1987, and the Chairman of Continuing Legal Education of the Section from 1990 to 1994. He became a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel in 1989. Mr. Slaughter is a Board Certified Wills, Trusts and Estates lawyer through the Florida Bar Board of Certification. His practice includes wills, trusts, probate, guardianships, tax and estate planning law. He has practiced law with this firm since 1972.
